Luchino Visconti, whose family once owned the villa, spent here his childhood and drew inspiration for his movies. The setting of the grand ball scene in Visconti’s masterpiece, “Il Gattopardo”, starring Burt Lancaster and Claudia Cardinale, is reminiscent of the frescoes, the chandeliers and gold marquetry of the interiors.

Villa Erba is the biggest venue around the Lake. It’s able to host weddings with more than 250 guests.
Only symbolic ceremonies are allowed inside the property and they can be performed in front of the Lake.
The quantity of rooms on ground floor offers huge fexibility regarding the plan also in case of bad weather. Arrivals can be by boats as the Villa has its own dock, or by shuttles.
The Villa doesn’t offer accomodation but in the town of Cernobbio there are lot of hotels and other types of accomodation. Included with the rental there is a room on the first foor at bride’s disposal.
The Villa has a short-list of vendors to chose from for F&B service, flowers decorations, music/audio/light.
